Overview
The role of the Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is to develop and implement policies and procedures that follow Federal and State laws. Our charter also includes discrimination issues, oversight of federal compliance - including monitoring recruitment, retention and promotion of diversity.
We investigate and recommend resolutions of discrimination complaints; we serve as a resource to you on relevant issues; we provide assistance for you if you have a disability related issue; and we coordinate employee support programs and faculty training workshops.

In accordance with the requirements of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD or the District) does not discriminate on the basis of sex. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 U.S.C. 1681 - 1688) prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity, including sexual violence and other sex acts done without consent. These sex acts include rape, sexual assault, sexual battery, stalking, domestic and partner violence, and sexual coercion.
