Primary Logos

There are two primary versions of the LACCD logo.

COMBINATION MARK
The combination mark is used in most cases when possible, because it contains all of the colleges names.

EMBLEM MARK
Because the combination mark is so enlongated, it’s not always possible to use it. The combination mark exists for this purpose.

Typography

Primary Typeface

Optima Nova LT Pro

Consistent typography on District-branded collateral helps maintain a strong and cohesive visual identity.

Optima has been used within the District logo for decades, and still lives on in the form of Optima Nova LT Pro. Use this typeface family for headlines or short, important sections of text. A few condensed weights of this typeface are also available.

Classico URW (available on Adobe Fonts) and Georgia (available on most computers).

Utility Typeface

Univers Next Pro

This is the District’s workhorse typeface and has a wide use of applications. Univers is easy to read, balanced, and helps create a sense of institutional priofessionalism. Compressed, Condensed, and Expanded versions of Univers are part of this type family as well, enabling increased flexibility.
