ELAC Number 1 community college for Hispanic student enrollment
MONTEREY PARK, Calif. – East Los Angeles College (ELAC) Ranked 1st in the nation with 31,099 total enrollment of Hispanic/Latinx students at a Community College for the 2021-2022 academic year according to the annual Top 100 issue of Hispanic Outlook on Education magazine.
ELAC was also 9th in the nation with 2,878 total associate degrees granted to Hispanic/Latinx students. ELAC also finished as a national top ten school in degrees granted for three separate majors. This is especially impressive because this ranking is against both two-year and four-year institutions.

The Hispanic Outlook on Education is a national monthly magazine that provides education news, innovations, networking, resources and the latest trends impacting students from kindergarten through graduate school all while maintaining a unique Hispanic/Latinx perspective.
The 2022 Top 100 issue is available on the Hispanic Outlook on Education website. ELAC is the largest of nine, two-year community colleges within the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD).
