LAUSD plans spring Arts Fest at L.A. City College
The Los Angeles Unified will hold its student-inspired districtwide Arts Fest on Saturday, April 27, from 11:30 a.m.-noon at Los Angeles City College.
Join LAUSD Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho and special guests at the Arts Fest celebration, highlighting the incredible talent, artistic achievements and creativity of students. The Arts Fest is free and features performances, exhibitions and interactive activities.
Vibrant dance performances choreographed and performed by students will demonstrate a fusion of styles and cultural influences. The Visual Arts Gallery includes paintings, sculptures, drawings and mixed media artwork created by students from elementary through high school. Musical performances by talented student musicians will showcase a diverse range of genres and instruments. Film and theater productions will feature student actors, directors and stage crew members, bringing stories to life on stage. Hands-on workshops and demonstrations led by students and faculty members will be held, inviting attendees to explore different artistic mediums and techniques.
The festival will also include arts and STEAM activities, spoken word performances, cosplay, a fashion show, parade and food trucks. Los Angeles City College is located at 855 N. Vermont Ave. For information, visit artsfest2024.lausd.org.
